Squeezing pimples will improve the skin condition. False! The pimples may get less noticeable but you actually help the bacteria go even deeper in the internal skin levels causing redness and swelling afterwards. Not to mention that it can lead to scarring.
You can’t wear make-up if you have acne. False again! Not any type of make-up is suitable when you have a special skin condition, but you may talk to your dermatologist to receive suggestions about the best cosmetic choices you could make.
Chocolate and greasy foods aggravate acne. Studies have proved that there is no connection between diet and acne; however, healthy eating habits are definitely encouraged since this is the way to maintain a good body condition.
“Acne affects teenagers, when I grow older I’ll get over it.” Unfortunately, acne affects people of all ages and it doesn’t appear just on the face but on other parts of the body such as the back, the shoulders, the chest and the neck.
